Artist, Dot Renshaw painting at Black's Beach, La Jolla
As an environmental artist and a California coastal native, Dot Renshaw's paintings reflect her reverence for the vanishing wilderness and nature's beauty. She works in oil, pastel, and watercolor and in both plein air landscapes and figures. Her exuberance is shown through her energetic brush strokes, dramatic light, and and color temperature in her subjects. Dot has painted California's changing scenes since her childhood depicting the atmospheric condition with subtle nuances. Classically trained, she has had over 35 years experience teaching painting.
